Spina Bifida
This certificate was awarded to John Davis, President of Street Dreams Corvette Club because he and his car were chosen by Tara Chandler to participate in the Free State Corvette Club Ocean City, Maryland Corvette round up.
The Spina Bifida Friend's Choice Award was created to enable our young friends with Spina Bifida to participate in both the day and evening events. Not only do our guests pick the Corvettes that they like best, they also present the award. While it is wonderful to receive a trophy to serve as a memento of your participation of this weekend, it cannot begin to approach the young judges' anticipation of this event and their pleasure in sharing in the award presentation. The proceeds from this event got to charity, with at lest 70 percent to the Spina Bifida Association of Maryland.This year we have invited ten friends with this disabling disease to join us in Ocean City. The Holiday Inn Oceanfront has generously donated rooms for each of the Spina Bifida families.Over the years, your participation in this event has enabled Free State Corvette Club to donate thousands of dollars to the Spina Bifida Association of Maryland. Last year your charitable donations enabled us to donate $50,000 to charity, with over $30,000 going to the Spina Bifida Association of Maryland. Your participation made all of this possible.Once again, we would like to thank each of you for your generosity. Letters posted in the lobby express the gratitude of the families, the Spina Bifida Association of Maryland and the many young people who are afflicted with this disease.Gratefully,
